About David H. Lehman
David H. Lehman is a distinguished aerospace leader with a monumental 40-year career at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California. Throughout his tenure, he has been at the forefront of humanity’s most ambitious deep-space explorations, serving as the Project Manager for landmark missions such as Mars Odyssey, Deep Space One, and the GRAIL lunar mission.
His exceptional contributions have been recognized with NASA’s highest honors, including the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal and multiple NASA Outstanding Leadership Medals. Before JPL, Mr. Lehman served as a Naval Nuclear Engineering Officer on the submarine USS Abraham Lincoln and later retired as a Navy Captain, earning the Meritorious Service Medal.
Today, as a volunteer NASA Solar System Ambassador, David is dedicated to sharing the excitement of space exploration with the public, from the colonization of Mars to the wonders of the James Webb Space Telescope.
